Rooks run the Dog River Crawling through mud and trudging along a river for half a mile - with breaks in the shallower stretches for pushups and flutter kicks - aren't the typical college orientation, but they're the proud capstone of "rook week," the rigorous training undergone by incoming students at Norwich University who want to become cadets. Bot Rodders get their feet wet at international robot competition After working intensely for more than a year on the project, a team of Norwich University electrical engineering students entered their robot in the 11th Annual International Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Competition in San Diego, Calif. Engineering Academy offers a crash course in design August at Norwich means it is time for Engineering Academy week, where 20 high school students build three amphibious vehicles. Given a motor, wood, wheels and Styrofoam, they must create a vehicle that can drive three laps around the Upper Parade, float on the nearby Dog River, and slalom down Paine Mountain. Norwich University Partners With B2 Networks To Form Cadets Vision Norwich University and B2 Networks has announced a multi-year agreement to broadcast NU football and men's ice hockey on the leading broadband broadcast network. Cadets Vision will debut on Sept. 20 with the NU football game against Husson, and all Norwich University home football and men's ice hockey contests this season will be available to fans and alumni worldwide.
