Hitting the River Intense Lessons on Life, Geology, and the Ecology of the Connecticut River Valley
Normally, class does not begin with catching professors when they've just stepped out of the tub. But this is not a normal class. And the "tub" from which geology Professor Richard Dunn has just emerged is actually a canoe on the Connecticut River, which is frigid and frothing here by a railroad-repair yard and freshly tilled cornfield in North Stratford, N.H.

Close to home: reexamining Norwich, family history The dry details, Margaret Kelley already knew about before deciding to spend the summer of 2008 researching the subject of Norwich's first civilian graduates.
The raw emotions, she stumbled across almost as soon as she started combing the archives at Kreitzberg Library for memories of Norwich's 1972 merger with Vermont College. In the May 4, 1974 edition of the Guidon newspaper, a student writer declared in an editorial: "It is a marriage of the devils."
