I am writing this message to inform you of changes that will be made this fall. Continued at www.alumni.norwich.edu/presnucc... |
Wrestling Program reinstated for 2009/2010 I am pleased to announce that, as a result of the generosity of the wrestling community, the Norwich wrestling program will be reinstated for the 2009/2010 academic year. A groundswell of support for Norwich wrestling from alumni, parents and friends has yielded in excess of $85,000 in pledges, one-time gifts, and event fundraising money. I want to thank them for rallying behind this cause and enabling a program with a rich history at Norwich to compete for another season. Continued at www.alumni.norwich.edu/preswrestling... |

Citizen, Soldier, Student Most students in Norwich University's School of Graduate Studies have to juggle at least two responsibilities - usually a job and school work. John Lawlor juggles three. Lawlor, who is earning a master's degree in public administration, is director of public works for the city of Waterbury, Conn., and a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. "I have to find a way through scheduling to squeeze more than 24 hours out of a day," he laughed. Continued at www.graduate.norwich.edu...

Hooked on Hockey: Milestones of Norwich Hockey-1909-2009 A special exhibition on 100 years of hockey here at NU will open at the Sullivan Museum on October 4, 2009! We need your help in locating more objects to include in this exhibition-uniforms, sticks and pucks, helmets, etc.-we'd especially like to have some early skates for visitors to view! Did you know that Coach Priestly designed a skate and sent the design off to a shoe company in Cambridge? Kindly check your closets, attics, and garages for any NU Hockey items that will assist us in telling this fascinating story of 100 years! Does anyone know why the NU Hockey Team of 1909 was called the Red Socks? Please call Marilyn Solvay, Museum Director-(802)485-2448 (or e-mail msolvay@norwich.edu) with information about your objects or to pass on any hot hockey story that can't be left out of the exhibit!
