NU Club of Maryland Gives Back - To America's Wounded Warriors

NORWICH UNIVERSITY AND THE NU CLUB OF MARYLAND GIVE BACK!

Join us as we put our Norwich values into action and spend the afternoon volunteering at the Maryland Fisher House.  This activity is part of Norwich's first ever "National Day of Service" - we will be joining with Norwich Clubs from around the country to make a difference in our local communities.  Be there with us to spend the afternoon with fellow alumni and friends and give back to our wounded warriors and their families.

Silver Spring MD 20910

About the Fisher House:  The mission of the Fisher Houses is to "support America's military in their time of need by providing "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury".  There are 43 Fisher Houses located throughout the United States and Europe.  To learn more about the Fisher House click here.

What we will be doing:  Our exact project will depend on the day-of needs of the Fisher House and how many volunteers we have.  We will either be providing general maintenance and clean-up to the house or preparing a meal for its residents.  Come dressed for work and ready to make a difference in the lives of America's wounded warriors.

Bring your kids (ages 16 and over) along to teach them about Norwich values and giving back.

Registration Information:  RSVPs requested by October 30, 2009 to Allison Sultan at asultan@norwich.edu.   You may also register online by clicking the "Registration" button above.  Please come out, give a couple of hours of your time, and make a difference!
