Engineering, Science and Technology Job Fair

The Norwich University Career Development Center and the David Crawford School of Engineering are hosting an Engineering, Science and Technology Job Fair on Wednesday, November 4, 2009
9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

As a well-respected firm in your industry, we invite you to participate in this event, meet our outstanding students and fill some of your full-time or internship hiring needs!

Based on student and employer feedback, we have made a few schedule changes to this year’s event.

  • We plan to set up earlier and decrease employer downtime
  •   Eat lunch earlier and in the mess hall so you may be able to interact with some students
  • Begin the job fair at 12:00 (an hour earlier than past years), in order to increase student attendance
  • End the job fair at 3:30 (a half hour earlier than in the past), to get you home a bit earlier.

The schedule of events for the Job Fair is as follows :

    Set-up of displays, anytime between         9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

    Lunch with Professors/CDC Staff              11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.

    Students attend career fair                       12:00 p.m.  -   3:30 p.m. *

    * No early breakdowns, please. Due to class schedules, some students cannot get to the career fair prior to 3:00 and are disappointed when employers have left early.

    * Please bring handout materials with you rather than simply directing students to apply via the company website. Handouts serve as additional information and tangible reminders of your organization. Handouts help students feel a stronger connection with your company.

Attendance at this event is always worthwhile from an organization’s perspective because:

Most professors make student attendance at the job fair mandatory

Norwich students are intelligent, self-motivated, and responsible individuals with strong work ethics and determination

All students are held to the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior when they pledge to live by the Norwich University Honor Code

Through the Corps of Cadets, sports clubs and volunteer activities, most students develop strong leadership skills

Job Fair attendance promotes your company name to the next generation of employees.

There is a registration fee of $125.00 per company. Included in this fee are table set-ups, interview space if needed, and lunch for the representatives. If the registration fee poses a serious problem, please contact us at (802) 485-2125, as there may be a few gratis spaces available.

Registration deadline is October 14, 2009

We look forward to seeing you on November 4 th !
