Jonathan Coyle, 70, of Orangeburg, S.C., died on December 11, 2006. Jonathan was born July 20, 1936, in Hanover, New Hampshire, the son of Alma Elizabeth Batten Coyle and Dr. John Alfred Coyle. He grew up in Norwich, Vermont. During his time at Norwich, he was a member of ASME, Fire Brigade, Junior Weekend Committee, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Military Engineers, and Intramurals. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he served in the Army for three years; at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia, in The Engineering Research and Development Laboratory, in Greenland, in Polar Research and Development with The Corp of Engineers, and at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, as a fixed-wing aviator. Mr. Coyle was an area and a division engineer with E.I. DuPont. He joined Applied Engineering as a project engineer, retiring as senior vice president and part-owner in 1994.
He was a member of Sertoma and The Rotary Club, served on the Orangeburg Tech and Boy Scout advisory boards, and was a member of The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judith Webb Coyle, two sons, John Wilder Coyle and Patrick Lee Coyle, and a brother, Dr. Peter Coyle.

John Robertson, 71, of Ketchikan, AK, passed away on November 17th, 2008. John fought a battle against cancer ten years ago and after suffering a bad fall that landed him in the hospital, discovered that the cancer had returned. He spent his remaining days in a nursing home and passed away shortly after.
While at Norwich, John was a member of the Outing Club, the Radio Club for WNUB, and he worked as a member of the Winter Carnival Committee. He graduated in 1959 with his BS in Civil Engineering. John was a shining example of a decent man.
John is survived by his loving wife, Nadine, of 26 years, and a daughter, Naomi. He is greatly missed.
