Kenneth B. Bell, 61, of Ocala, FL, passed away on May 15, 2008. Ken was born in Northfield, Vermont on December 20, 1946. He graduated from Norwich in 1983 with a BA in English. He was a member of the English Honor Society - Sigma Tau Delta, and also wrote for both the Guidon and the Chameleon.

Ken was a teacher at Howard Middle School who loved teaching 8th grade Language Arts. Ken was an Assistant Scout Master of Troop #439 with the Boy Scouts of America, and tutored children for the Children's Alliance Program. As a Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict Ken served in the Air Force and Army.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lynn Bell, daughter Emily Bell, son Micah Bell, mother Violet Bell, and brother Everett Bell. Ken is predeceased by his father, Everett Bell.

Upon special request the immediate family, in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Outstretched Hands of Romania, 1500 S. West Lane, New Berlin, WI 53146 in memory of Ken.

COL Elliot Edward Coley, 48, of Mahwah, N.J., passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. At the time of his death, COL Coley was attached to the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C.

Born in Dallas, Texas on March 1, 1961, Elliot had lived in Woodcliff Lake, N.J. and graduated high school from New York Military Academy in Cornwall, N.Y. He graduated from Norwich University in 1983. Elliot was an exceptionally active student, participating in tennis, Spirits Club, Pegasus Players and WNUB radio. He was also a brother of Sigma Tau Delta and Chi Alpha Chi. He graduated with a bachelor of arts in international studies.

In addition, Elliot has also earned three master’s degrees and was enrolled in a doctoral program. Elliot was also a candidate to graduate in June of 2010 from the U.S. Army War College as a unit commander. Elliot was heavily involved in the early campaign in Iraq for gathering intelligence. He was awarded many service commendations and medals, including a Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Award (3 in total), Army Achievement Medal (2 in total), Joint Meritorious Unit Award (3 in total), Army Superior Unit Award, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (6 in total), National Defense Service Medal (2 in total), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and several others.

COL Coley is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Suzanne, daughters, Casey Leigh and Hailey Nicole, and son, Andrew Jackson. Elliot loved his family and they were a priority in his life. He is also survived by his parents, Dan and Shirley Coley of Oklahoma City, Okla., brother, Jack, and his wife, Patricia Coley, and niece, Katie, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and brother, Steve, and his wife, Deanna Coley, and nephew, Hunter, of Carlsbad, Calif. In addition, COL Coley is also survived by his in-laws, Ray and Nina Bondy of Mahwah, N.J., and Henri Bondy and family of Great Meadows, N.J.

He touched many people through out his life and will be remembered for his great smile, his sense of humor and his kind and generous spirit. Elliot was loved by all and inspired those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.

A. William "Bill" Ford, 47, of East Providence, RI, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007, unexpectedly at home.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Arnold W. and Patricia J. (Labouliere) Ford of East Providence. He also was the grandson of Mary I. Labouliere of Lakeville, Mass. and the late Norman Labouliere, Arnold S. and Luella A. (Treacy) Ford.

Bill was a Firefighter with the East Providence Fire Department stationed at Station #2 in Riverside. He joined the department on June 30, 1994. Bill was a graduate of East Providence High School, Class of 1978 and a graduate of Norwich University. He was an avid music lover and self-taught musician, playing the guitar. He loved boating, cooking and going camping.

Besides his parents, he leaves one daughter; Whitney A. Ford and one son; Cameron L. Ford, both of East Providence, two sisters; Lisa Botelho of Scituate and Jeanne Ford of East Providence and several nephews. He was the former husband of Leanne A. Ford of East Providence and the companion of Sandra Merolla. He was the brother of the late Scott C. Ford.
