|NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Norwich's men's lacrosse team ushers in its 2008 season on Tuesday, March 11, when the Cadets battle Bowdoin in Florida. |
The 2008 Norwich men's lacrosse team is excited about building on last season's 3-10 season. The squad returns 12 players who made significant contributions last year, including seniors Chris Gill, Scott Pearce, Drew Caplin and C.J. Hamilton.
NU head coach Brian Divelbliss is hopeful that the team will come together and play to its full potential.
"I am really looking forward to working with these guys and helping them develop as a unit," said Divelbliss. "I think our overall balance as a team is one of our strengths. We don't have one ‘go-to guy', but rather we have a lot of players who can step up and perform."
Each member of the team possesses a tremendous work ethic and a strong desire to improve. With everyone concentrated on the common goal of getting better, the sky is the limit for this year's group.
The Cadets will once again be traveling to the Cocoa Expo this season, before gearing up for the regular season. NU has seven home games on its scheduled this year, including dates versus Vermont rivals Johnson State, Lyndon State and Green Mountain College.
