2012 Spring Career Fair

SPRING CAREER FAIR at NORWICH UNIVERSITY on Thursday, March 22, 2012

The Norwich University Career Development Center will be sponsoring its annual Spring Career Fair on Thursday, March 22, 2012. We are notifying you about this event well in advance so that you may make both your budget and personnel requests, as well as your travel plans earlier, thereby potentially saving money for your company/agency.

The objective of the career fair is to acquaint students with some of the career opportunities available to them and to assist you in filling some of your full-time, part-time and summer internship hiring needs. We will also be inviting Norwich alumni, from both the traditional and School of Graduate Studies programs, to attend the Career Fair, so there is the possibility of experienced candidates attending the fair. Please come to the Career Fair ready to discuss both upper level and entry level positions, as well as other types of positions, such as, those for accountants, human resources, public relations, and so on.

If you have additional questions, please, do not hesitate to contact me at careers@norwich.edu or 802-485-2125.

Sincerely,

Sherri Campbell

Set-up of displays, anytime between         9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Lunch with CDC Staff       11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Students attend career fair      12:00 p.m. -    3:30 p.m. *

* No early breakdowns, please. Due to class schedules, some students cannot get to the career fair prior to 3:00 and are disappointed when employers have left early.
* Please bring handout materials with you rather than simply directing students to apply via the company website. Handouts serve as additional information and tangible reminders of your organization. Handouts help students feel a stronger connection with your company.

Attendance at this event is always worthwhile from an organization’s perspective because:
• Most professors make student attendance at the career fair mandatory.
• Norwich students are intelligent, self-motivated, and responsible individuals with strong work ethics and determination.
• All students are held to the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior when they pledge to live by the Norwich University Honor Code.
• Through the Corps of Cadets, sports, clubs, and volunteer activities, most students develop strong leadership skills.
• Career Fair attendance promotes your company name to the next generation of employees.

There is a registration fee of $125.00 per company. Included in this fee are table set-ups, interview space if needed, and lunch for the representatives. If the registration fee poses a serious problem, please contact us at (802) 485-2125, as there may be a few gratis spaces available.

We look forward to seeing you on March 22nd!

Sincerely,

Sherri Campbell
