NU Club of Seattle Student Sendoff - 2008

Our Annual Student sendoff was a great success! Under perfect weather we had just about 40 people join us for food and fun at the home of Hilary Coons ’01. The incoming rook, Savannah, was very excited to talk with everyone - especially Tyler Nicolls who had just finished his rook year at Norwich. Additionally, there were two alums in attendance who graduated with nursing degrees from Norwich which is the degree track Savannah is going to pursue. Savannah's parents and Tyler's parents were able to speak about what to expect also. As always, the give-aways were a great hit and everyone really had a good time. The group showed a lot of interest in having another event this fall along with the potential to do a Fort Lewis monthly lunch gathering.
Cocktail Reception with Dr. Yeigh

The NU Club of Seattle had a wonderful cocktail reception on November 11.  Held at the Downtown Seattle Hilton, the evening featured wonderful food and drinks, good Norwich conversation, and a great update from campus by Dr. Wolf Yeigh and Jason Springer '00, M'07.  Also joining the group was Kate Becker from the NU Alumni and Family Relations Office.  It was great to welcome over 50 alumni, students and family members - many of whom were attending their first NU Club event!

2007 Student Sendoff a Success!

The Washington Student Sendoff was held on Sunday, August 5th, at the home of Jacob '01 and Hilary '01 Coons in DuPont, Washington. Alumni from Oregon and Washington came together for an afternoon of potluck BBQ. Both incoming freshmen (both rooks) from the state of Washington attended and were able to hear historical and recent stories from Norwich. The Norwich family of Oregon and Washington wish Josh Miller and Tyler Nicoll the very best as
they begin their adventures at Norwich.
NU Alumni Cheer on the Cadets!

The NU Club of Seattle (joined by one brave Middlebury alum) gathered at the Ram Restaurant to cheer the Cadets hockey victory over Middlebury!

Despite the restaurant’s screwy rule about sound on the TVs in the dining area we got to see the first shut out of Middlebury in 187 games. Hoo Aah!
