Remember your first winter on the Hill? A video produced by the Office of Communications captures the ups and downs of winter in Vermont as seen through the eyes of Norwich students.

Touch the Sound at NU
What do bagpipes and ear trumpets have in common? Both are part of a new exhibit on sound at the Sullivan Museum and History Center. Learn how sound is used throughout the curriculum to teach everything from Biology to Art to English. The many hands-on (and ears-on) displays will delight listeners of all ages. Now through August 30.

Injured 1997 alumnus returns to duty
Lunenburg, Mass. police officer Omar Connor '97, who was seriously injured when he and a suspect fell off a retaining wall in May 2010, has returned to work for the first time since the accident.

Women’s Hockey: National Champs
In only its fourth year as a varsity sport on the Hill, the Norwich Women’s Ice Hockey Team brought home the first place trophy from the NCAA Division III Frozen Four held in Rochester, N.Y. on March 18 & 19.

Mark Bolding ’95 repeats as Coach of the Year
Norwich women’s ice hockey coach Mark Bolding became just the third coach in Division III history to win the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) D-III Coach of the Year award in consecutive years. Bolding earned the 2011 honor after guiding the Cadets to their first national championship.

The spring athletic season has arrived here at Norwich. Baseball, Men’s Lacrosse, Women’s Lacrosse and Softball are underway. Please support these teams as they work towards winning their conference titles. Please visit to support.

For the last five years the Maroon & Gold Athletic Association has recognized the hard work and accomplishments of our senior Student Athletes. This year we continue the tradition of recognizing these young men and women at the 2011 Senior Athlete Awards Night on May 3, 2011. Make a tour of Norwich history one of your stops!

The NU Club of the Upper Valley welcomes anyone planning to visit the Norwich, VT area this summer or fall. Come explore the original grounds of Norwich University, see where the great fire of 1866 almost ended CPT Partridge’s vision, and trace the steps of the 14 cadets who packed their belongings and started the trek (on foot) to the “new” campus in Northfield, VT. Norwich University alumni and Upper Valley Club Officers would love to meet you and give you a short tour of the area.
